2026 Traditional Games
April 10 @ 10:00 am – April 12 @ 6:00 pm

The Ninth Annual Traditional Games will be held in Juneau from Friday through Sunday, April 10–12, 2026, bringing together participants and community members to celebrate Indigenous traditional games and cultural practices.
This event features 12 traditional games that reflect Indigenous ways of life, skill, and endurance. The games will be live streamed on the Sealaska Heritage Institute YouTube channel, allowing broader community access to the competitions.
Athlete registration will be available online beginning January 23 for eligible participants.
Divisions:
- Open Division: 18+ adults out of high school
- Middle School Division: 6th–8th grade
- High School Division: 9th–12th grade
In addition to the games, artist market opportunities will be available during the event. Community members and artists are encouraged to visit the event website for full details, schedules, and participation information.
