WEIO (World Eskimo-Indian Olympics)

The World Eskimo–Indian Olympics (WEIO) is an annual summer event that brings together Indigenous athletes, dancers, and community members to participate in traditional games and cultural activities rooted in Indigenous ways of life.
WEIO highlights traditional athletic practices that reflect strength, endurance, skill, and cultural knowledge developed through lived experience. Alongside athletic events, the gathering includes dance, vendors, and community participation that support cultural sharing and continuity.
Participation & Eligibility:
Participation in WEIO activities is subject to eligibility requirements outlined in WEIO bylaws. Athletic participants must meet membership requirements and be at least 12 years of age. Additional registration and waiver requirements apply, particularly for participants under 18.
